Halli Fields, first year student at University of Oregon along with her first year on the beach volleyball team is spotted in the yellow hat on the left side of the image, amongst her teammates. Warming up for practice, February 9th, 2023, she is waiting for her turn to serve the ball at the volleyball sand courts, located at Amazon Park in Eugene Oregon.

Switching courts with the other half of her beach volleyball team, Halli Fields in the center, proceeds to warm-up, effortlessly hitting the ball over the net. Fields coach, Jason Dillard yells “you are nailing it Halli” as she continues to jump and hit the ball at the same time, scoring three points in a row.

Halli concentrating on her serve during beach volleyball practice on a sunny Thursday, February day. Fields states, “My favorite thing to do during practice is serve the ball over and over again. The adrenaline rush when the ball goes over the net and hits the other side of the court makes me so happy.”

Fields, taking in the sun while waiting for fellow teammates to show up for her beach volleyball practice, not expecting the sun to come out, as it is only the month of February. Moving from California to Oregon, she states she appreciates the sun when it shines in Oregon.

Fields brings this ball to practice daily, using it before her coach arrives with the balls her team practices with. Today, she bumped the ball to herself for five minutes before it lied on the ground on the other court for the rest of practice.
